PORCUPINE, SD β The South Dakota Green Party (SDGP) announces a momentous milestone today as it secures its official accreditation with the national Green Party of the United States. But this accreditation is not an end; it is a profound beginning.
SDGP is driven by a vision that goes beyond political recognition β a vision of an inclusive South Dakota.
Shaun Little Horn, Chair of the South Dakota Green Party, expressed his enthusiasm and commitment: “This accreditation marks a new dawn for South Dakota. We’re poised not only to represent but to reimagine our state β a state where every voice is heard, where the environment is treasured, where historical treaties are upheld with respect, and where our most vulnerable are protected and uplifted.”
With its newly-acquired national platform, the SDGP is all set to amplify its efforts. The party has charted out plans for extensive community outreach, policy discussions, and candidate endorsements. The objective is clear: to mobilize the energy and aspirations of South Dakotans in creating a state that embodies the true spirit of democracy, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.
“We’re not here for mere representation; we’re here to revolutionize. The SDGP is not just a party; it’s a promise β a promise of a South Dakota where every individual, every voice, counts,” Little Horn concluded.
The party is on the brink of finalizing the required signatures to secure its place on all 2024 election ballots and future elections thereafter. This effort reflects the party’s commitment to being a lasting voice for South Dakotans who prioritize the environment, uphold the sanctity of treaties, and champion the rights of the most vulnerable.
The SDGP encourages all interested residents to be part of this historic endeavor.
